Public Printing in SCS

Overview of Service

SCS offers a range of high-speed, premium printing and scanning stations. Using their CMU ID cards, SCS staff, faculty, and graduate students can easily access their print jobs from any SCS printing station. Our dedicated SCS Computing team ensures these stations are well-supported by monitoring their availability and maintaining paper and toner supplies. Importantly, print requests can be sent from any computer, not just officially supported ones.

For users with unsupported or self-supported computers, general printing instructions are available on the SCS Computing site (Windows, macOS and Linux). For users with supported computers, the SCS Help Desk can also assist with any hands-on troubleshooting needs.

Getting Started

Before you can utilize our public printing system, you will need to complete a one-time registration process. Visit the link below and follow the instructions to register your CMU ID Card and connect your computer to the SCS print server.
