The SCS Purchasing App Gets an Upgrade!
New enhancements available starting April 15, 2024.
What's happening?
On Monday, April 15, 2024, an updated version of the SCS purchasing application will be launched. It can be accessed as usual via the Computing Facilities site or directly at https://rams.srv.cs.cmu.edu/purchase.
Why it matters:
While the general functionality remains similar to the previous version, there are several key improvements:
- Updated Navigation: The purchase request sections are now organized as tabs for easier navigation.
- Enhanced Accessibility: We've added help text to improve accessibility for all users.
- Improved Oracle String Recognition: The application will recognize Oracle strings that are copy and pasted with dots in between segments instead of only dashes (e.g., 000001.001).
