SERVICES AFFECTED: Systems hosted from the Wean Hall machine room.

What's happening?

SCS Computing Facilities plans to perform maintenance that will result in an power outage in the Wean Hall machine room (MR-A) on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 7:00 AM through 11:00 AM. Systems hosted in the Wean Hall machine room will not be available during that time.

What action do I need to take?

If you have a system hosted in the Wean Hall machine room, we recommend that you perform a shutdown prior to 4:00 AM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

Systems that are still powered on at 6:00 AM will be manually powered off by SCSCF staff. Once power is restored, we will gradually power on all systems.

This alert will be updated if there are any changes to the planned outage period.
