End of Life: macOS 12 Monterey
Support Ending November 30, 2024
We're phasing out support for macOS 12 Monterey and will remove software support for computers still running it after November 30, 2024.
What's happening?
With last year's release of macOS 14 Sonoma, we anticipate that macOS 12 Monterey will no longer receive security updates after November 2024. As a result, we will end support of this version on November 30, 2024.
What do I need to do?
So we can continue providing support for your computer after November 30, 2024, please select one of the options listed below:
- Upgrade your Mac yourself.
The latest available version of macOS for your computer will appear in System Preferences > Software Update depending on your computer's hardware requirements. - Get help with your upgrade.
Don't want to upgrade on your own? Submit an upgrade request and we can do it for you! - Remove Support.
Not using this computer or want to run it without support? You can submit a request to remove SCS Computing software support from your computer before November 30, 2024.
Removing support, what does it mean?
If you do not to upgrade to a supported OS, software support will be removed automatically as of December 1, 2024. Unsupported computers limit our ability to help you:
- Your computer will not receive security patches or functionality updates.
- Your Mac will no longer have access to the SCS Software Store for installing software like Microsoft Office.
- Your Mac will no longer get automatic configuration updates for SCS managed services.
- Our engineering and help desk teams will no longer troubleshoot software and operating system issues on your Mac.
Expect macOS Ventura support to end in late 2025
With Apple's expected release of a new macOS version next year, Ventura will be the third oldest version and will cease to be supported next year. When this occurs, we will stop providing software support for all computers running macOS 13 Ventura on November 30, 2025.
