On Friday, June 26, 2026, we will replace aging battery modules in the Gates Data Center battery backup (UPS). To safely complete this work, the UPS will be placed into bypass mode, during which utility power will directly supply all data center systems.
What to Expect
- The UPS will remain in bypass mode throughout the battery replacement.
- All servers in the Gates Data Center will continue operating normally unless there is a utility power interruption.
- If a utility power issue occurs during the maintenance window, all systems in the Gates Data Center may lose power.
What You Should Do
- No action is required prior to the maintenance window and systems do not need to be shut down.
- After the maintenance window has ended, please validate that your servers are accessible and functioning as expected.
- If your server remains unreachable after the maintenance window, please contact us for assistance.
